2015 New York Purity Mission Trip…

For one solid week, the girls and I put our personal agendas on hold and through hearing and obeying the Word of God, we served the five boroughs of New York City and the City of Yonkers New York. Communicating the purity message was challenging but rewarding. We maximized our efforts by distributing our new purity brochures in Time Square– What an experience!

People from all walks of life, ages and cultures stopped to talk to the girls and I. Some folks stopped and read the brochure on the spot, while others declined. One lady was so excited about the program she gave us money and said, “Keep up the good work!”— others took several brochures to bring home! Our successful reception on 42nd Street gave us the confidence to stay the course. We gave out brochures on the subway, in our hotel, the fair grounds, and airports; striking-up conversations with people who were genuinely interested.
Needless to say we were more than ready to conduct and share the Purity message with our host, Calvary Chapel of Grace and Truth in Yonkers, New York. Before the class began, the girls quickly bonded as though they had been friends for years… We were all well received! A big SHOUT OUT to Pastor Johnny and Ms. Tina for investing in their girls and ladies’ ‘eternal joy’ by stepping out in faith and hosting a purity class! And a great big “Thank you” to their entire congregation for making our trip warm, inviting and memorable!
And finally, on our way home I was getting ready to go through the Laguardia Airport baggage check and the security guard on duty held me back to talk about the purity program. She shared with me her “Purity” testimony and how she now shares these principals with her daughter— I had to dig it out, but I gave her a brochure and a purity ring! Also to our surprise, during our extended lay-over in Nashville Tennessee, we met a lady from Dallas who shared her story of she and her mom’s similar work with young girls in Chicago— so of course, we too exchanged information!
So to sum up this year’s purity mission trip, we can honestly say it was “Joy Unspeakable!” I believe that we will see the fruits of this wonderful trip throughout eternity… The girls and I will continue to do God’s will as He leads us on future mission trips… We give Him all the praise, glory and honor!

On our “2015 Purity Summer Mission Trip” to New York, the girls and I had the privilege to serve the homeless and needy guest of the community of the Manhattan’s lower Eastside Bowery Mission. It was incredible and exciting to part of this mission’s history, but also very humbling to serve these dear folk. We will never forget and will always be in prayer for them.

The Bowery Mission was founded in 1879 by the Reverend Albert Gleason Ruliffson and his wife.[3][4] It was the third rescue mission established in the United States,[5] and the second in New York City.[2] The Mission is currently administered by The Christian Herald Association. In 1895 the Mission was bought by Dr. Louis Klopsch, owner of the The Christian Herald, to save it from economic distress; he also bought the building it was in, which up to that time had been leased.[2] Klopsch became the president, and the Mission was formally incorporated in 1897.[2][6] One prominent board member was Sarah J. Bird, a philanthropist who was known as “the Mother of the Bowery Mission” due to her long-time service to the organization from 1881 to 1914.[2] Supervision of the Mission went to John Greener Hallimond, originally from England, who introduced many innovative services, such as a home for women in Brooklyn, an employment agency and a breadline, which began in 1902.[2] With money left over from a food drive, Klopsch created a “Fresh Air Home” in Nyack, New York to get inner-city children into the countryside during the summer.

Meeting with Dr. Ben Carson!

A friend and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Carson at Opportunity Village in Las Vegas. He is a gracious, kind and godly man! Dr. Carson is standing on the solid foundation of biblical truth. His hope and desire is for the American people to return to Godly principles and to adhere to the Constitution that was once awe-inspiring to the world! I also gave him a copy of PrideinPurity with a hand written note inside.

Please be in prayer for God’s perfect will to be done in this man’s life!
